THE FORGOTTEN BASS LURE
guide_service185.jpg
There are many popular, commonly used bass lures on the market: blade baits, crank baits, jigs, plastics, and top water baits. There is one lure that is not commonly used by bass anglers. This lure closely imitates a bait fish. If you guessed an in-line spinner, YOU ARE RIGHT.
The spinner has been know as a trout or musky/pike lure. Not many anglers know that this lure will catch both smallmouth and largemouth
bass. The spinner comes in a large selection of sizes, colors, blades,
and skirted or non-skirted treble hooks. There is one company that
produces the WORLD'S #1 LURE, top-of-the-line, well known, durable in-line spinner--MEPPS.
MEPPS produces a large section of in-line spinner. There are a few
spinners that will get the 'lime light": 1). COMET MINO, 2). AGLIA,
3) DRESSED AGLIA. (Anglers must keep in mind that most of MEPPS
spinners will catch bass, I just selected a few to talk about.)
